New Associate Director Spotlight: Alecia Beck

Golden Key International Honour Society, founded on 29 November 1977, is an academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

We would like to introduce you to our three new Associate Directors in the US.  First up is Alecia Beck, who will be working with US Region 10. Get to know her better with this Q&A.

Where are you from/ where did you grow up? Macon, GA
Where did you go to college? Valdosta State University
What did you study in school/ major in? Undergrad- Public Relations; Grad School- Public Administration
What are some of the things you were involved in, in college? Lady Blazer Cross Country, Lambda Pi Eta (Speech Communication Honor Society), PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America), Emerging Leaders, VSU Ambassadors, VSU Orientation Leader
What are your hobbies? Running, baking and spending time with family and friends
What is your favorite quote? “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson
What is your favorite sport? Running and watching college football
What is your favorite TV show and song? My favorite TV show is The Biggest Loser and my favorite song is “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” by Travis Tritt.
What is the #1 most played song on your iPod? “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen
What excites you the most about working at Golden Key? The opportunity to excite students about Golden Key and help them learn the wonderful opportunities they have by joining and getting involved. Student members really can make a difference in their chapter, university and community.
