Golden Key encourages all members to celebrate Make A Difference Day

Golden Key International Honour Society, founded on 29 November 1977, is an academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

Make A Difference Day will be on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

For more than twenty years, USA WEEKEND and HandsOn Network have partnered to sponsor Make A Difference Day, the nation’s largest day of volunteering.  Make A Difference Day brings millions of people together in a single day to help change the world.  Service is one of Golden Key’s three pillars– giving back and making a difference is a core value of Golden Key. As members of Golden Key, your academics have already made you Stand Out.  Now we ask you to Stand Up and work with your chapter to Stand Together to make a difference on Oct 27.
We are proud to support Make A Difference Day, so we are encouraging chapters to plan projects and members to get involved. Don’t hesitate to invite friends, family and other members of the community to work together to make a difference on October 27.
If you are a chapter leader in the US or Canada, please visit the Make A Difference Day page on our website to learn how to plan, register and report your event.  Golden Key will be providing 10 t-shirts to each project registered. We are also awarding one $500 and two $250 awards for outstanding chapter Make a Difference Day initiatives!  Remember, involvement in this event is key to receiving Gold Standing for the 2012-2013 academic year.
We can’t wait to see all that our chapters accomplish!
