Wendy Saw Queensland University of Technology Asia-Pacific Community Service Award Winner

Golden Key International Honour Society, founded on 29 November 1977, is an academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

Wendy Saw 2011I intend to use the Asia-Pacific Community Award to inspire fellow young Australians to devote some of their time and energy to communities in need. Winning this award has been an incredible source of encouragement to myself, my personal endeavours and my career aspirations. For me, 2010 was a year of challenges and struggles, but in the midst of it all, being recognised by Golden Key for helping others has been exceedingly rewarding. With this Scholarship Award, I would like to donate $500 to Optometry Giving Sight, the charity of choice of the Optometrists Association of Australia.
