University of Wisconsin Chapter Member Named to ESPN Academic All-District Team


Golden Key International Honour Society, founded on 29 November 1977, is an academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.

Alyssa Karel, a junior on the University of Wisconsin women’s basketball team has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 5 team. Karel, who is the only Big Ten Conference women’s basketball player to earn first-team honors, leads the Badgers and ranks ninth in the Big Ten with 14.1 points per game. Karel has a 3.85 cumulative grade point average in nursing.
